More Than Alot was massive. Their work before under Andy C’s label Ram, was also massive. C&S are now taking a new direction and reaping the rewards. They’ve been on tour for the last few years with every gig selling out, and now they have finally announced their new album “No More Idols” set for release January 2011. Not much info has been released but I’m sure we’ve all heard their recent collaborations with Dizzee Rascal, Plan B and newcomers Mali and Tempa T – Next Hype. The dangerous duo recently did a gig in Oxford, live on Radio 1 at the O2 Academy. Unfortunately, none of us could make it but we listened in on Radio 1 and were pleasantly surprised to hear some new and exclusive tunes being aired for the first time. One called “Time” featuring Delilah and another “Blind Faith” featuring Liam Bailey. They weren’t hardcore bangers like “Smash TV” or “Pieces” but they are still bangers in the sense that they are quite up lifting. Say what you will, Chase & Status are diverging and still on top of their game. I for one am looking forward to their new album.
