Fresh off the heels of Mesck’s apocalyptic Doomsayer EP, TRUSIK teams up with the Slovenian duo DubDiggerz, whose productions have landed themselves on labels as diverse as Joe Nice’s Gourmet Beats to Jack Sparrow’s Navy Cut.
TRSK004 features two tracks that have been singularly honed to be played only on the finest sound systems, “Bōgu” and “Dark Dawn” are one hundred percent high grade dubstep.
“Bōgu” is sleek, efficient and contemporary. Comprised of steel and concrete, seething with pent-up aggression of a city on the brink. Fueled by diesel fumes and looking to cause harm, “Bōgu” stomps and claws its way out of the bassbin.
Whereas “Bōgu” possess an urban veneer, “Dark Dawn” harkens to a more neolithic time. Marching with a militant intent, clarion drones arc skyward like buzzards picking through a battlefield as tribalist percussion sets the marching tempo for phalanxes on the warpath.
