Nick Fall aka Promise One is a producer, drummer and technician based in London with forthcoming tracks under Glasgow’s Reboot Records imprint. Nick and I recently met up in London for Youngsta’s album launch @ FWD Plastic People. It was quite a rewarding experience meeting up with someone who follows the blog and jamming with them at an event with the likes of Cyrus, Distance, DJ Madd, Kryptic Minds, Icicle, SP:MC, LX One, Toast and of course Youngsta all under one roof.
Inspired by the above, as well as artists such as Breakage, Burial, Headhunter and Scuba, Promise One is reviving the old school garage dub sound with his tracks “Glyph” and “Dissonance” due for release on Reboot Records May 23rd. Both are exciting tracks with sublime sub bass lines marking Promise One a “one to watch out for” in 2011.
