The mainstream success of Magnetic Man

If you’ve been following this blog for a while you should know Magnetic Man by now. If not, then where have you been the last half of the year?! Their first single “I Need Air” took the charts by storm over the summer and received endless plays over the airwaves. It was one of the first records I found almost impossible to switch off regardless of how many times the radio stations played it. “Perfect Stranger” followed closely behind with Katy B on the vocals and instantly became another dance classic. The ball has been rolling for the trio and presently the forces of Magnetic Man have become unstoppable. Their self-titled album reached number 5 in the UK charts and is regarded as a mainstream dubstep album success. The project has been on the road ever since, touring all over the country at festivals and live gigs alike and recently announced additional dates for their supersonic live show which you can find on their website or Facebook page. I haven’t been yet but have been told it’s something very special with every show being unique in its own right. I plan on doing so and I suggest you do too. The album’s finale “Getting Nowhere” featuring John Legend is said to be their next single due in Feb 2011 and is personally one of my favourites.
