There’s something about Commodo that places him as one of my favourite producers right now. Although many of his dubs are now starting to surface, only a few of his beats are available to purchase. A number of releases are scheduled for later this year which is an exciting prospect; there’s the Commodo vs Lurka – Airtight / Gassin EP forthcoming on BlackBox and a rumoured Deep Medi release consisting of a track entitled “Saracen” and possibly “Uprising”. Furthermore, theres the question of the Eastern Bloc / Dokument EP which was original set for an Origin Audio release. For me, Commodo’s beats are refreshing, original and full of energy with the production right on point. The percussion, intricate drums and bellowing synths are always finely tuned making the final product top notch. Commodo’s tunes have taken a huge liking to by the likes of Youngsta, Distance and Vivek suiting the tribal feel sound that is definitely emerging from the dubstep culture. Take my word for it, this is undoubtedly a producer you need to keep an eye out for, I myself will be jumping on any future releases. Enjoy the sounds of Commodo below.
