Bandcamp is waiving its revenue share once again to support artists impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Bandcamp waived their revenue share again on May 1st, 2020 in order to help artists and labels impacted by the pandemic. And once again, the Bandcamp community showed their support by spending a whopping $7.1 million on music and merch – almost double the amount spent on March 20th when the company did its first fee-waive sale.
But the pandemic and its impact on the music community aren’t over, so today June 5th and July 3rd, Bandcamp are waiving their revenue share for all sales made on its platform, from midnight to midnight PDT.
We covered all the dubstep music released in the fee-waive sales in March and May, and we’re covering Bandcamp’s no-fee sale today and again in July.
