Kahn, Commodo & Gantz share “Influences” mix

What else can be said about Kahn, Commodo and Gantz this year? They’ve proven again and again to be an unstoppable force dropping a magnitude of high-calibre music on the almighty Deep Medi imprint, Innamind’s sister label Blacklist, as well as Bristol’s finest; Bandulu, Hotline and Sector 7 Sounds. Without a shadow of doubt, 2015 has been one of the finest, if not, the finest year for the eclectic trio. Following Deep Medi’s announcement that Gantz’ remix of “Buckwild” and Commodo’s remix of “Free Focus” would be their last release of the year, the trio dropped one last surprise on their fans in the form of an “Influences” mix. Recorded around the same time their collaborative record “Volume 1” was released, the mix showcases some of the sounds they took inspiration from – from old unidentifiable Turkish records to jazz bassist “Ahmed Abdul-Malik” to Swedish heavy metal band “Katatonia”. It’s a delightful listen from beginning to end, and between them, demonstrates the vast breadth of music K•C•G listen to. We’ve tried to piece together as much of the tracklist as possible, but completing it has proven tricky.
