Many of you will know him for his razor sharp, cutting edge d&b but Skeptical, like any talented producer, is crossing over to dabble in a different tempo. A quick glance at his Discogs page reveals that his debut 12″ was only released in 2010, and has dropped a number of celebrated records under some highly regarded labels including; Ingredients Records, Exit, Samurai, and Dispatch. What’s more, his collaborations with Dub Phizix have made the duo two of the most “go to” producers in the underground scene, with their plates landing in the record boxes of D Bridge, Alix Perez, and Loxy. There is no questioning that the man is talented. I came across his dubstep productions most notably through J:Kenzo, who has undoubtedly taken a liking to his sound at the 140 tempo. Full throttled, eyes down steppers that immediately sink the dance into a gun finger skank, Skeptical is delivering minimal ruffage but with a refreshing edge. These tracks will surely be signed but for now, wrap your ears around a few clips below. Keep an eye out for two tunes which are really killing the dancefloor; “Run It Red” and “Something In The Sound”, they’re exclusive dubplates for now.
